Rights Radar Kicks Off its Activities with Report on Human Rights in Yemen
Sana’a, January 23, 2017:
The recent founded regional human rights organization RIGHTS RADAR formally kicks off its activities with launching its 1st. report on human rights in Yemen, focusing on the horrifying killing tittled (Yemen: Horrific Killing of Civilians). This comes simultaneously with launching its website ( www.RightsRadar.org ), which will be a place for publishing latest news and reports on human rights in the Arab world.
This report (Yemen: Horrific Killing of Civilians) is the first publication by Rights Radar on human rights in the Arab world, produced in January 2017. It sheds light on the unlawful killings that have been taking place, highlighting some of the most prominent cases committed in 2015 and 2016 by all parties. Rights Radar will continue publishing periodical reports to monitor the human rights situation in the region.
The data and information of this report come from Rights Radars’ field reporters and monitors in more than 18 Yemeni cities. In addition, the field reporters and monitors documented reports, information and data in most of the Yemeni government along with information and data coming from UN-affiliated human rights NGOs.
Rights Radar aims to document human rights violations with a professional and impartial manner without bias to any party and documenting all violations from all parties with no exclusion.
Rights Radar works on collecting and analyzing all information and data in a systematic way focusing on the main priorities in Human Rights discourse according to the International Humanitarian Law and the International Human Rights Law.
Rights Radar is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that monitors, promotes and defends human rights in the Arab world. It was founded by a group of Arab human rights defenders and activists. We monitor, document and report violations against human rights, as well as provide advocacy and legal support for victims and capacity building for human rights activists. We cover all topics and areas of human rights, including media freedom and freedom of expression, women’s rights, children’s rights, disability rights, refugee rights and right to justice.
Rights Radar works through a wide network of professional reporters and monitors on the ground, using the latest techniques in monitoring and documenting human rights cases.
